StarBright watching over the Baby Finches!
This is a Baby Tiel I was hand feeding, watching over the Two Baby Finches that were thrown out of the Nest.
I hand feed them until fledging from day 4.
Not a easy job, but a very rewarding one to say the least.
Star would lay just liek she is here, all day long and if the babies moved she would let out a hollar to alert me.
The babies started out in a seprate container within the brooder and as you see, they have managed to esacape to be with there friend here. |
Peachy Keen and Lemon Drop atop there favorite place!
This is Peachy Keen my Peach Front Conure whom I Hand Fed from roughly 3 weeks hatched, and her little friend Lemon Drop.
I also Hand Fed Lemon Drop and then she went to live with a next door neighbor who wanted her so badly as he would see how sweet she was.
Lemon Drop was the vitim of the dreaded Flying out the door syndrom.
I clipped her wings prior to selling her, and they did not bring her back for additonal wing clippings and she flew out the door one day!
We looked all over, and from time to time still feel as though we can hear her calls from with out in the field in the trees, but no signs of her.
